The FERTILITY AWARENESS CAMPAIGN FOR GREECE program will be implemented through three actions:

1. Conferences in urban centers and trips to remote mainland areas of Greece with the aim to inform and raise public awareness for reproductive health and fertilitv issues.
2. National Campaign.
3. Financial assistance program for women who wish to have children but face infertility issues in remote villages and isolated islands in Greece and women working in the private sector who wish to proceed with an egg freezing procedure.

The program started on Monday July 19, initially with the financial support of women who wish to have IVF, do not have the financial means and are permanent residents of the Municipality of Zagori in the Regional Unit of loannina, of the Municipality of Agrafa in the Regional Unit of Evritania and the Municipality of Argithea in the Regional Unit of Karditsa. It is important to note that the above selected areas face a general problem of low rates, as they have a negative birth-death ratio and have very low births. HOPEgenesis is already active in all the above-mentioned areas offering free coverage of exams, travel and childbirth to pregnant women. During 2021, the programme will expand (financial support for ivf) in 26 islands of the Aegean Sea.

Requirements for inclusion in the programme

1. To be exclusivelv residents of the Municipalities of Zagori. Agrafa and Argithea
2. To have an annual income of up to € 14.000
3. To be insured with EOPPY
